ABOUT THIS TREATMENT
Advanced Molecular Allergy Testing – 295 Allergens The ALEX² Comprehensive Allergy Profile is an advanced blood test designed to assess IgE-mediated allergic sensitisation. Using multiplex molecular allergy diagnostics, ALEX² evaluates specific IgE responses to 295 allergens in a single test, providing a comprehensive overview of potential allergic triggers. The profile covers a broad spectrum of allergens, including grass, tree and weed pollens; house dust and storage mites; fungal spores and yeast; foods; animals; insects and venoms; and latex. Food allergens include grains, legumes, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, milk, egg, fish, seafood and meat. A key advantage of ALEX² is molecular allergy diagnostics. In addition to testing allergen sources, it evaluates individual allergenic proteins, providing greater insight into sensitisation patterns and potential cross-reactivity between related allergens. The test measures both allergen-specific IgE and Total IgE. Specific IgE levels are reported quantitatively in kUA/L, ranging from negative or uncertain to low, moderate, high and very high levels. ALEX² may be suitable for individuals with persistent or unexplained allergy symptoms, recurrent allergic rhinitis, suspected food or environmental allergies, or multiple potential allergic triggers. Results can support personalised approaches to allergen avoidance, environmental modification and symptom management. A positive specific IgE result indicates sensitisation and does not alone confirm a clinical allergy. Results should therefore be interpreted by a physician together with symptoms and medical history. One blood sample. 295 allergens. A more personalised understanding of your allergy profile.
